The Urban Development Consulting Division of SMEC employs more than 200 staff including Civil Drafters, Civil Engineers, Surveyors, Town Planners, Urban Designers and Master Planners, Landscape Architects and Project Managers.  We provide integrated consulting services needed to plan, design, construct and manage projects from concept to completion.

The role

We are currently seeking a talented Civil Drafts person to join our team. Working closely with some of the most highly respected specialists in the industry, you will play a key role in drafting design packages to support the successful delivery of large multi-lot residential subdivisions, primarily in Melbourne’s outer metropolitan area. 

With a minimum of 2 years commercial experience in Civil Drafting, you will have a track record of achievement in a similar role and will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy. You will have a passion for building trusted relationships and drive positive change.

Suitable applicants will have/be:

  • Diploma of Civil Construction Design or equivalent
  • 2+years post qualification experience
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD
  • Exposure to land subdivision and preparation of plans for construction
