Exciting opportunity, Urban Engineering - residential housing land development projects in Melbourne. Smec has won a number of major projects and we are currently looking to ramp up our Urban Engineering and Design Offices to cater for the additional work load.

The role

We are currently seeking 12D Civil Design Engineers OR 12D Civil Designers to contribute to the development and production of project deliverables in our Melbourne offices on urban development projects.

You will have developed a sound understanding of civil design principles and advanced skills using 12D model for the preparation of drawings.

We are happy to receive applications from both degree qualified Civil Engineers, as well as Civil Designers (who typically would have a Diploma in Civil Engineering).  Candidates should have at least 5 years’ experience working in residential housing land development in one of the Australian capital cities.

In addition, ideal candidates should be able to demonstrate:

  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • 12D experience (must have experience in large scale subdivisional design)
  • Proficient in 12D drainage network analysis
  • Problem solving and analytic skills
  • Ability to apply theoretical concepts to analyse and interpret information
  • Ability to effectively manages one's time and workload
  • Exposure within a professional working environment
