The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior Environmental Scientist to take the next step in their career into a management role. The role will be responsible for overseeing the Environment group based in our Brisbane office.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Ensure that technical tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMEC
  • Apply project management principles in carrying out tasks and accomplish project deliverables to the required standard and in a timely manner
  • Preparation of technical documentation such as environmental reports.
  • Manage and lead a team of technical staff.

Suitable applicants will have/be:

  • Degree qualified in Environmental Sciences or related field.
  • Substantial experience in major infrastructure projects or as site services.
  • Excellent project management skills. Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Ability to manage and identify environmental risk in projects.
  • Effective management skills both internally and externally.
